Default Cayman LS Question

I have sent a few PMs not no response. If you are careful pushing the motor back, can I get away with no loss of leg room? (assuming the switch to a thinner racing type seat). I am 6'2" and need the leg room.

I intend to track the car, so I am thinking that a remote mounted water pump won't work for me. May have to come up with a fancier solution. If it makes a different my intended trans is a Graziano.

If that tranny's mating surface puts the engine closer to the ring gear center line, you MIGHT retain your legroom. It is a very tight swap!

I couldn't find any good information comparing the porsche box mounting surface vs ring gear CL to the Graziano

I’m 6’3” and had to have my Cayman S’s seat all the way back against the bulkhead for street driving. But for track I always preferred to be up a notch or two — more leverage on the wheel, brakes, etc. So - street and track - the firewall cut may be an issue. If this is track only - maybe not a problem.

I agree, I tend to run my seat farther forward on the race track as well. I intend this vehicle to be 80% street though.
