Default Caprice Tank: What Pump?

Hello,

I am putting a stock 5.3/4l60 into a 1978 Caprice. I have a plastic tank from a 1995 Caprice. I thought I could just order a pump and kit from Racetronix and drop it in, but I emailed them and they told me their wiring harness kit for B bodies is only for lt1 cars. I have read where lots of people have used these Caprice tanks for 5.3s, but I can't find a definitive answer on what pump will fit in this tank and have the right psi for a 5.3. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Just get a walbro 255 intank pump and install it in place of the original pump.

I build my own hot wire kits like this:

Get 10ga wire, run from alternator to rear gas tank. (Add a 20-30amp fuse)
Add a 40amp relay somewhere on frame near tank.
Thin just ground relay and use ign source for power.
Run 10ga to pump and good ground from pump to frame.

Sometimes i use the original fuel pump hot wire for ign. Easiest way for a hotwire kit. And cheaper!!

Try Lonnie's Performance in PA. He is a Racetrinics dealer. Tell him exactly what you have and he MAY help you out. Be ready when you call him he is NOT a warm & fuzzy kind of guy.

I used the 96 tank w/ the Racetronics pump & Hotwire kit but I ended up getting a carrier for an 02 f body ( 30 bucks New ebay ) it works better w/ the New Hotwire kit.But you have to enlarge the hole in the B body thank and cut some of the baffling out of the tank to allow the fuel level sending arm to move freely.

It was alot of work so maybe try brandon6.0's idea first.
