That's a damn good deal for a set of the 1500s. Not sure the 1000s should be the same price since they are I think I might go right for the 1500s when they're back in stock. I run decaps right now cheapest alternative to the 80s I've seen yet.

i got my 80s for 230ish i think. that was the cheapest i had found. and my old tune i will be using is already set up so it should run great right off the bat. good enough to go cruising. make some small changes. but for sure the next go around ill be getting the 1500.

230 is pretty good for real SD80's. I never found a set that cheap. I have a set of 210's I was saving those for either another car or when (if) I switch to E85. Hadn't made up my mind on that front yet though. But for middle road those 1500's cant really be beat IMO.

Yeah I've been following Matt's G35 swap and I'm pretty sure he's just testing the 1k's for now. I'll be very interested when he's reviewing the 1500's with the blower. I have to admit I'm eyeballing a cheap *** g35 around my parts that I would kill to swap. If I didn't think my girlfriend would move my stuff outside I would've already bought it haha.

hahaha. yeah they sometimes tend to hate our car/turcks. my wife is actually no board with this build. i guess thats because i sold the last project to fund this one. once i run out of funds she might get mad again lol.

the way I angled my driver side manifold a power steering pump would have fit on my
set up.

it was very close but fit. since I needed a new rack anyway and didn’t feel like messing with the lines I just went manual rack...I regret it though

I drove with my power rack de-powered for about 4 months it was AWFUL. I thought I could bare it and if it was a drag car I would've left it be but a car I drive I just couldn't do it.

im going to look at everything once i get the engine in the car. hopefully i can get the 4.6 sold this time im home and i can start working on the car. kinda thinking about cutting the cast manifold and rewelding it. not sure how a flux core wired mig gun will weld them manifolds. doesnt have to be pretty it just has to hold. and ill probably keep all the hyrdroboost stuff and just have lines made when i get too that point in the build. my 91 mustang i drove for over a year with a power rack with no lines on it and it sucked. even had skinnies on the front and it still sucked.

That's how I did my manifolds. My understanding of the manifolds is that they're cast steel not cast iron so welding them isn't as daunting as believed. I'm not a good welder and I managed to get through it haha I think you'll be fine.

Pretty close to the power steering return line. Going to have to see if I can bend it out if the way more. And as you can see.....I decided to go down and forward lol.

Noticed this after i started cleaning the heads. I don't remember hitting the heads with any kind of wire wheel last time I was home. Got a friend with some 706 for 100 bucks. Going to go pick them up tomorrow and swap my springs out.
