only 3 AC bolts?
Working on my LS swap and I had to notch the K member of my 96 Impala to clear a truck style Denso AC compressor along with factory bracket.
I also had to cut the rear most ear off of the bracket itself leaving only the two top bolts and the center bolt and I had to cut the lower leg off the AC compressor leaving only the two front bolts and the top rear mounting tab intact.
Basically, there are 3 bolts holding my bracket to the block and 3 bolts holding my compressor to the bracket.
Apparently guys have done this before so i've heard, I just can't find any. I was told that some GM cars only utilized 3 of the 4 mounting points anyway, but nobody can ever tell me which ones to verify.
Think this would be a problem on a daily driven car? anyone else running their AC compressor like this?
