Default TAC module location

Hey guys, I finished up the HB mount and throttle pedal and will be back to filling the holes in the firewall this afternoon. I saw a Youtube video and the TAC module was located up and to the right of the booster on an 03 Silverado and I have plenty of room to mount it in the same location, is there a better location?.

In the center of the firewall behind the engine and more hidden would be fine but I would hate to get it mounted and find I could not easily replace it later.

GM mounts lots of stuff under the hood without water problems but I like to relocate that stuff inside, up under the dash. The TAC is one of those items that you will only look at once (with any luck). I mounted mine high on the driver kick panel, out of sight and out of the way from everything.

I like that suggestion, Initially I thought it made sense to put it in the factory location but inside would result in no junk on the firewall, it will be easy to hide a single grommet behind the intake and flexibility with the module location when I have to customize the ECM harness cables anyway.

Default Tac

Exactly what I did, hide the wiring exit behind the intake. Wanted to locate the grommet low enough to be behind the intake yet high enough to be out of the way inside.
