I'm new to LS engines, (I've done swaps with carbed SBC 305-350) but I'm doing research on LS engines specifically the L33. I would like to swap an L33 into my 2003 S10 crew cab which is a 4wd. I'm not looking for mega hp a stock L33 would suffice so I will just buy a complete used engine. Because I have 4wd it will require a specific oil pan, headers or maybe F body exhaust. I have an 8.5 4wd drive rear for an upgrade. I was told my 4.3 ECM could be tuned to work with a 5.3 engine? I read all L33's were DBW so I would need a cable throttle body swap? If you have any additional information or a link to an S10 4wd 5.3 swap (doesn't have to be an L33) I would be appreciative.
