The LS 5.3 and the 305 have nothing in common. Did you get the computer and wiring with the engine? Accessories like the alternator, P/S pump, and A/C pump all still attached to the engine?
Check out Holley for swap parts like engine and trans mounts, headers, etc.

About 10 years ago I helped a buddy put a put a LS1/4L60E into his son's 1989 Camaro. Google Josh Kunkel LS swap. He used Sphon? motor mount adapters. 2000 Fbody FEA. Spear Tech engine bay harness and LS computer and harness. Spear Tech can rework the engine bay harness to retain the AC and other functions.
As said above nothing from the small block or transmission will interchange with the LS.

It's a super easy swap. Did one in my 87. Used fbody accessories and pan. Summit swap mounts and speed engineering headers. Theres a butt load of info over on thirdgen.org. Chances are you'll find way more info over there since it pertains to just thirdgen fbody cars.
