Default Speedometer connection help..please. Dakaota D and PSI

I have a 63 corvette with a stand alone harness from PSI conversions(HAR-1014) and my speedometer is from Dakota Digital. The last connection I need is for the speedometer. The PSI harness under dash wires bundle has only one wire shown for speedometer it is black and manual says to speedometer module. Meanwhile the Dakota Dash states " for vehicles with speed signal from transmission tap into the vss wire and connect to SIG terminal. For some reason I cant seem to grasp this connection. It seems I read some where about splicing the vss signal at the ecm, but is this black wire the same ? It would seem I would not need to splice a new harness. My donor vehicle was a 2004 Blazer 5.3. The transmission is also a 2004 from 2wd van, 4l60e.
Thanks,
Tom

Don't need to do any splicing. Hook the black wire from PSI to "SPD SND" on the Dakota digital control box then follow setup instructions in the DD set up guide....
