Engine swap, '97 Vortech 454cid into an '87 Surburban. HELP!
Hey guys, first of all thanks for listening.
I have a problem. I can't get the wires to hook up just to get the thing started. I know I'm dealing with OBDI vs. an OBDII engine. I have the wiring harness only in the engine compartment (from the engine), the computer, and fuse relay center. I don't have the rest of the wiring harness into the firewall that goes into the instrument panel (I/P). I have access to ALLDATA but it's helping. ALLDATA doesn't seem to have an exact comparison with my harness.
Any help would be appreciated. I just need it to run.

The 97 pcm does not use passlock. I did the same swap on my 88 monte carlo and used the alldata system we have at work and it worked badass. Just get the two diagrams for each vehichle side by side and let the harness merging and gutting begin. It took me the greater part of a day to make a the harness. Just lots and lots of patience electrical tape split loom and solder.
