how difficult to swap ls1 into bmw z3?
ive got my ls1 hangin around cause im upgrading to a 408 turbo setup.
is it something feesable to do, or should i consider doing it with another motor. i was thinking about either doing it with the ls1, or maybe swapping in a 2jz supra turbo motor.
what do you guys think?

I think that it is very feasible. The engine bays in those cars are alot bigger than one would think from the look of the car. I know that there has been a v8 in those cars before wether or not bmw or a euro tuner did it or not, I am not sure. But I think that your biggest problem would be wiring the car as late model bmw's have aton of high tech gadgets that could make wiring the car a task.

the only semi-official V8 Z3 conversion i have heard of is the Hartge M-Roadster 5.0 which uses a 370hp M5 engine. Hartge also puts a near-400hp 5.0 in the E46 M3 and the Z4, that is a Z i wouldn't mind owning (i hate Datsun and Nissan Zs).

Go For It
Plan on plenty of fabbing and wiring. I chose an older model so I didn't have as much "modern technology" to work around. I used a vortec headed 350 but wouldn't be surprised with an LS1 upgrade down the road
