Default Throttle body coolant line.

What is everybody doing with the little coolant line on the front of the block (the one that also routes coolant to the throttle body to help it warm up faster)? I'm planning on using the LS6 intake and with this you just cap the crossover lines at the back of the block, correct? Can you do this at the front also? Thanks for any help/info.

If you're doing any amount of racing, most people cap the TB coolant line off to avoid heating the TB.

No. The front line should not be capped off. You can bypass the throttle body to keep it cooler if you want, but just capping the line would be a mistake. It is there to always purge air bubbles from the system to prevent hot spots. The line should go to a fitting high on the radiator, or tee into one of the return hoses.

So this means coolant flows out of both sides of the block? I would want to tie them with a tee and then dump it into the radiator by means of an additional nipple welded to the radiator neck (below the cap area of course)?

If your just going to stay where its warm then ok, but if you were going to travel in real cold weather then leave it hooked up or you might risk icing.
