Hi, my friend is going to be looking at a first gen. Camaro, which the owner claims is an original RS/SS car. I know to look for the hideaway lights, but what else can we look at (assuming both with, and without door stickers) to prove to ourselves that the car IS in fact an orignal RS/SS car? It's a 327 4 speed car.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and if you need to know anything else, I'll try to find out that info asap.

The SS was never made with a 327. you could only get a 350 or 396 with the SS package. All SS's also had front disc brakes and a 12 bolt. As for an RS, if it has the hideaway head lights and the backup lights are below the tail lights in the rear panel, you can be fairly certain it is a real RS. John
