Default vintage air with factory PCM

Is it worth the effort of trying to re-wire the aftermarket Vintage Air system into my PCM so that the PCM can alter the idle speed as needed? Any ideas advantages, disadvantages, etc?

I've found it's really not worth the effort. The engine runs so well that it doesn't lug it down much at all when the A/C comes on. So instead of the PCM anticipating the A/C coming on by raising the idle just before the compressor kicks on, the engine just reacts to the slight increase in load, and the idle returns to normal that way.

As long as you take care of the wiring so that the fan comes on with the A/C to avoid any head pressure problems, you'll be fine.
