thanks for the info i have been thinking of getting fitting for my tank to use -an fittings and get the aeromotive fuel rails with -an fittings for those and use braided stainless line but dont know what everyone else was doin

Not sure how much volume you need but here are two available options. You can keep the stock fuel system all the way to the factory disconnects. From there you can use Russell adaptors and switch everything over to -6 line going over the top of the transmission and coming up the back of the engine like the stock lines did into a 97-98 C5 fuel rail. That or you can adapt over and use a 99+ C5 fuel filter with the built in regulator and go that route. Unless you need to go with 1/2 line due to HP requirements I don't see any reason to replace the lines coming off the tank just because

On my 2000 Jimmy I used the adaptors and went with the -6 line. The lines coming from the tank are still factory I just replaced from the fuel filter forward with braided stainless line. I also switched the fuel filter to one off a 95 full size truck because I like that filter a little better.
