i have a 79z28 and looking for an ls/t56 swap for my car and would like to know what the diff is on the ls2 oil pan and the drive by wire and any other modifications that would need to be done. would the ls2 work with the brp mounts and will i need to swap for f-pan and swap throttle bodys. would like to know before the purchase due to the much higher price diff in the ls1 to the ls2 any info on the late sec gen f-body ls swap would be great.

If you have the pedal you can use the fly by wire setup. As far as the oil pan, I assume youd need to swap to the LS1 F-Body pan.

f pan should be ok with brp mounts. I used s&p mounts 71 camaro 04 gto ls1.
