5.3 into '68 C10--factory fuse box questions
Well, I found a good deal on a 05 5.3/4l60e pullout with 37,000 mi. I am putting it in my '68 Chevy, which a few months ago was a '72 GMC. I am using all of the factory wiring, and have a questions about the factory fuse box. there are three large stud terminals coming off. I know one is hot all the time because the battery goes straight to it, but what about the other two? It seems to me like the two end studs are always hot, with the one in the center being ignition, but I'm not sure. I'm practicing with the volt meter still..haha. Can anyone confirm this?
This is the truck...well it's not a GMC anymore and the hood and grill is yellow...

The wiring schematic shows Stud 1 being used for the hybrid option truck (HP2) with no amperage rating. Stud 2 (30 amp) as being used for trailer wiring and a junction for power for emergency vehicle relays. The easiest thing to do is put the battery positive cable to the B+ terminal on the relay center and check with a test light or meter to see if you have voltage at the studs. They will most likely be B+ at all times.
