Default 5.3L Heads

I've been reading the comparisons between the 243 cast# heads & ported & milled 5.3L heads. Just got an 07 5.3 from a Silverado. It has the 243 heads on it. What should this motor be rated at? If these are the C5 Z06 heads, do they still have the hollow stem titanium valves & all that? What kind of power do you guys think I'd see with a cam swap & long tube headers? I'm going to drop it in stock and mod it later for $$ reasons, just wondering what kind of potential it has.

For the life of me I can't remember who posted it but someone made 326whp with a stock z06 (c5) cam in a 5.3 with longtubes if i remember correctly. Unported 243s that is. I have an earlier 5.3 with the same heads, cant wait to get it running. You can bore it to a 5.7 and run stock ls1 pistons and rods making a poor mans ls1 (albeit not aluminum).

Have fun!
Josh
