TQ converter in light weight car?
I am doing a Ls1 into a car that will weigh about 2100lbs. I am going with ported 243's a LS6 intake and havent decided on the cam yet. I was thinking about the MS3 but not positive. I know that the cam and stall go hand in hand but I also thought vehicle weight was a factor also.
What kind of converter/stall would be a good choice for a swap like this. Or is there any site recommended to learn how to pick my own stall.
Thanks.

The converter manufacturers are usually pretty good at sizing a part for you.........a vehicle that lightweight is going to call for alot of stall to be drivable.
I have a friend with a very light roadster, similar weight to yours, he has a pretty well modded LS1 with about 3500 rpm stall. It works pretty well.

I may just call a converter company and see what they say. I would like to understand myself though what calculations they use to determine a suggested stall.
Thanks

4l60e, I think I am going to go with either a ms3 or ms4, I will be running a 28 X 13.50R15, rear gear will be a 3.55 and max weight will be 2300lbs.

my car weighs 3050, has 373's, a cam similar to the MS3(in an otherwise stock motor)and a 26x10 and i have a 4000 stall, with the 355's and taller tire you may want a little more unless you're spraying it...
