Boo hoo man. Sounds like you're offended at having to do some fabrication on your own project car. They ain't all cake and ice cream man. Blaming some random dude on the internet because your build didn't progress like his is the most childish thing I've ever heard of.

sbc to LSX conversion mounts are worthless, longer transmission pushes the transfercase rearward, that makes the 4wd shifter sit farther back. Newer 4l80 trans on an old school rod style column shifter is a pain in the ***, you have to find linkage off an old 4l80. Integrating the electronics between the new and old is time consuming, and takes alot of harness work. Turbo setup is totally custom. had to make a tail light and headlight harness, all new connectors etc etc. Oh, and I have to mount my ECU on the fenderwell too. LOL.

Bolting in an LSx and leaving all the old crap electronics is pretty easy. Making the new fuse center work so all the relays and fuses are in one place leaving a clean firewall is a trick... I brought it on myself because I like the new school wiring, but its a swap, its supposed to have issues. Hell thats why I did it, for the challnge more than anything.

He's right in one aspect that there isn't alot of room to mount a full size PCM under the pass side dash with out alot of moving/work. I ran a MSII and mounted it to the pass side kick panel cause there wasn't enough room to put it under the dash. But on a second note, it's hot rodding, nothing fits, figure it out! If it was easy then everyone would be doing it. G

Well, theres really no market for them stock, other than a core to go to the trans shop, and they really arent any better than a normal 4l60 for that. Most people know better than to buy one as a replacement, it'll just pop again.

I would actually love to try the Torsen AWD center from a TBSS in my Blazer, but I don't want to convert my 4L80 to the weaker output shaft to do it...
