Default anti-theft device

Hi!

I have a wrecked 98 camaro ls1+t56 and I want to know if I should worried about the anti-theft device if I put this combo in a 93-97 camaro. with the key and the ignition switch that isn't programmed for ls1 computer, can i be able to go to my GM dealer and reprogramming the ls1 computer to work with the original car keys? or it will be easier to change the ignition switch with these of my wrecked car?

If you are going to keep your existing steering wheel/column/ignition then:
You can get blank keys from your dealer with the same chip resistance as of the wrecked Camaro then take the blank to home depot and have it cut/copied to your existing key. You can also purchase a new BCM which will program itself for you existing key's chip resistance.

If you are swapping the steering column ***'y as well, then everything should be fine.

For either case you can also turn off vats.
