v6 firebird to ls3

Im looking to put a ls3 in my v6 firebird and i was wondering what all i need to do the conversion? I also want to know some good websites to look on to get all the parts needed. So if someone could make me a list of what i need and where i could get it id really appreciate it...prices would be nice to...Thanks

You would want the engine, transmission, wiring harness, computer for starters. I don't know if it is as simple as mounting the LS1 motor mounts on the V6 k-member, so you may want to get a k-member from a LS1 f-body. Or buy a tubular one from UMI (I think that's the right company), or BMR. You will obviously need a new exhaust. Also, you may want to swap out the gauges, as it will probably be easier to use the V8 dash cluster. From there, it's whatever you want.

Just keep on mind the gear differential and harness want to work on it

Thanks for the help guys...Does anyone know what kind of transmission i will need?...I was thinking the 4l60e...would that transmission work and are there any other ones that will???
