Default Harness soldering ok?

I've got my harness figured out, everything labeled. I laid it across the engine and found that for the way I'm going to lay it out I've got way too much wire on a few bundles, but a couple of wires were actually too short. I cut the two that are too short.
Question is: What is the best way to reconnect? Using soldering/shrinktubing then electrical tape over top, or crimp connections?

Solder and heat shrink is the only way to make sure you don't have problems later. I have modified several harness setups and would never use a butt splice on them.

X2

Use the heat shrink with the sealer in it and you don't need to use tape.
Of you're going to do a lot of soldering buy a PTH soldering tool, you can't beat the speed or the quality of the joint.

On the ones that are too long, you can buy new connector pins and change the wire length right at the connector. No splices at all that way.
