what trans to use?

I'm swapping a 5.3 into my 71 cutlass. I want an automatic trans which one would be the best to use?

4L80E, its big, its overkill, but it will be there for what ever you want to do in the future

If you are building a street cruiser with occiasional track time, the 4l60E will work fine and it is what most of the 5.3 motors come with. As Ryan said, the 4l80E is stronger, but it is also a lot bigger and may require mods to your floor pan/transtunnel. It also weighs more.
