On the road/dyno numbers Well I have put a little over 1000 miles on the chevelle now most of which were breaking in the new engine. It has been fun to drive and I am really pleased with how few hiccups I have had so far (knock on wood). Today I took it to the dyno and got it tuned and other than my maf not working everything went great! It would have made more but with my 700r4 the converter would unlock in third when you nailed it(thats why there is a break in the dyno graph) so I would guess had the converter been locked it would had added another 20rwhp or so. Anyways thats enough talk here is the graph:

Also, anybody have any ideas on getting my column shifter to have some more throw? Its nearly impossible to get it adjusted to where it will go into 3rd much less 2nd and first. The car originally had a 2 speed powerglide and I suspect this is the main cause of this issue.

Anybody else with any tips for getting it to shift into the lower gears? I am thinking I may be able to use a hole closer to the shaft on the shift arm that bolts to the tranny.

I have the LS6 intake. Ya it pulls pretty well all the way to 6500 although it does start falling off after that as he did do some runs all the way to 6800. The motor can handle it of course but no sense in revving that high if power isn't there. What intake are you running thunderstruck?
Edit: I see you have the LS1 intake but I doubt its choking you that much you should have dynoed higher than me for sure especially if you had the converter locked thru the computer. I would like to see what your A/F ratio is it might just be really rich or something. As you can see my A/F is a pretty solid 13.2 all the way. It was about 12.8 on the run before and by dialing it into 13.2 I gained another 15 horse. A dyno tune is really the way to go because every car is different but $450(in my case) for a tune is not cheap at all I just have been planning on the cost since the beginning of the swap.
