Default Ls1 wiring

Hi,

I am dismantling a complete 02 z28 and swapping into a 67 camaro, I have most of the car dismantled, but I have a question on the wiring--

What wiring should i save from the 02 besides the engine harness?

Should I try to save any of the wiring in the interior or body module wiring?

Just checking before I scrap the body.

You could just run the engine with the engine harness only as a stand alone harness and would not need anything else from the body.

If your going to run some of the 02' dash or VAT, you should then save some of the BCM parts and harness. If you going to use the 02' Smog system, you should also save the fuel tank and its sensors and harness.

I only used the engine harness in my swap.

I am not going to use the VATS or smog system.

I am going with an intake walbro set up.

So I just need the engine wiring, computer, and the OBD2 connector?

If you have the time and space, grab everything you can! I had the luxury of stripping a complete (but crashed) 99 SS 6spd to power my 66 Rambler American. I'm using as much of the Camaro wiring as possible to save $ and to have GM factory engineering. The underhood harness has all the relays you need already wired for fuel pump, fans, etc. I'm trying to find gauges that will fit in my car (Camaro pod is wrong shape) that will run off the GM data line. If you convert to rack and pinion, the Camaro column and all it's wiring would look good in your car. VATS in a 67? Keep your options open. Good luck!
