Default Fittings for sending units.

I am swapping an LS into my 87 Corvette and I have already swapped analog gauges into the car. The problem I am having now is getting fittings that will screw into the motor and allow me to screw my autometer sending units into them. Can anyone point me to the place I can get them or tell me what dia and pitch they are? Thanks

Don't mean to hijack, but I would like to use my original idiot gauges in my Caprice for the purpose of a stock appearance, anyone know how that is possible or achievable?

Hmmm are/were there sending units in the old motor? I don't see why you couldn't pull those units and put them in the new motor. I'm not familuar with how the idiot lights work.

I also have analog gauges but want to keep all the electronic sending units for the PCM inputs. Where would I find fittings that allow me to keep the stock electrical signals, but also have a mechanical output for my gauges. Sorry I dont make sense but its the best way I can explain it right now..

You'll probably want a T-fitting for each sender, so that you can use both the stock sender for the PCM inputs & the fittings necessary to run the lines to the gauges.

There are two temperature ports, one on each head. The ECU usually uses the driver side head leaving the passenger side available for gauges or lights. The ECU does not use the Oil pressure so you can replace the original sending unit with one that works with your gauge or light, or you can adapt the fitting down near the oil filter. All this info, including adapeter info is in the FAQ in the Sticky at the top of the forum
