Engine harness question

Will a 98 formula harness work a 99 z28?

Both cars are coupes and both are autos.

Fingers crossed.....

I know there was something differnt in those 98's but think It has to do with the flash programing,somone should chime in on this. Bump for the full answer.

The pin out for the PCM plugs are different, but can be rewired. The temp sensor plug is different, but it can be changed.

Is that all thats different? Im doing a 5.3 swap in to my v6 camaro and the truck harness is quite a bit different, I was hoping this would get me closer but I wont pay for it if I still have to change a bunch of stuff.

The injector plugs will be wrong for your 5.3, but so would the ones on a 99 and newer harness.

skip that harness. most of the wires on the PCM connectors are in a different place. If you use that harness you will have to swap the locations of most of the pins that go to the PCM. It is doable, but it doesn`t sound like your looking to put that amount of work into it. You would be better off finding a 99+ harness.
