Default I need some help

I'm in the process of installing a 2006 5.3 in a 1977 SWB 4X4 chevy 1/2 ton, I have the engine installed, the 2006 transmission is also mounted and I am beginning to run the fuel lines. my understanding (from the 1000's of posts I've read) is that the 2006 in a returnless fuel rail system, and I believe I have all the pumps, filters and tank switching solenoid stuff worked out. The question is there is some kind of line coming out of the front passenger side on the intake and crossing over the top of the manifold the running down the driver's side of the manifold and turning down at the back of the engine and going down about as far as the bell housing. I believe it may be some kind of vacuum line to the transmission but there is nothing to connect it to in the area it ends. I don't think it has anything to do with the fuel lines, but I really don't know what it is or how to hook it up. can anyone please give me some guidance, pics would be nice also.

Thanks,

Should be the EVAP canister purge line. You don't need it. Just remove it.

Yes it is the EVAP purge line. Take it off and plug the hole or leave the solenoid there. Not important in a 77

Thanks for the information, I'll pull the line off and plug the port.
