I havent done it but know alot about it, ive been researching this for the past 2 years... waiting to graduate college then i will be dropping an LS1 in... word of advice, if your car is an 01 then get an 01 LS1/transmission/PCM/wiring harness because it will be a direct plug in to your dash harness, if you get a different year engine/transmission/PCM/wiring harness than your car, you will be doing some extra wiring crap. things you need...

engine/transmission
PCM
wiring harness
Kmember/motor mounts and stands
radiator/fans
AC lines
radiator hoses
gas pedal (LS1 pedals are run by the wire connected to the TB)
97 vette fuel rails with the return line on the rails(otherwise you will need new fuel lines and fuel pump)

I think that its, I could be forgetting something but off the top of my head I think thats it.
