New here thinking about an engine swap

I have a chance to buy a 2004 vette motor. I would like to install it in my 1984 chevy c10. I have a few questions. Can I use my 700R4 trans? Will I need a different radiator? Any help would be great. Thanks

^^^thats very true. i think the trans will bolt up but the torque converters are different though.

you can use the 700r4.. but will need either a spacer or a dished flex plate. simple solution.

700R4 will work fine, you will need to get a TV cable kit and use a drive-by-cable throttle body. www.bowtieoverdrives.com has the TV kit, it's about $150. The radiator should work fine, I've seen several of these swaps which used them, and if you're running a clutch fan it will fit nicely.

Edit: VSS signal may be an issue if you have a cable-speedo. There is a conversion unit available from jagsthatrun.com.

you can definetly reuse your stock radiator. i had to use flex tubing to make it work. if you go with electric fans you can wire them to the pcm so it can turn them on and off .
