Default Clutch pedal switch

Any body running a T-56 without a clutch pedal switch? I read that it is needed for cruise control but I don't plan on having it. I also read that its used as a start interrupter. Does it affect drivability or can I just run without it?

I'm running mine without that Switch and without the N/S Switch as well. If I need to turn the Cruise off I'll just tap the Brakes or switch it off. I didn't mess with that Wiring when I did my swap, so the Brakes will still turn the Cruise off.

There are multiple switches on the clutch and brake pedal. Some may be one switch with 2 sets of contacts (2 pole). The switch for cruise is separate or at least a different pole than the starter safety switch. Each has it's own wiring loop so you can use one without the other. Eliminating them will not change drivability (other than not shutting off cruise). I plan on using the clutch starter switch just in case someone else drives my car and is not use to starting with a clutch. I hate to bang up my car or bump someone else's car for the sake of a simple switch. The wiring is not complicated. The worst part is mounting the swich on modified pedals. Most original standard shift cars have some kind of switch already installed. Check the stickys or Autozone's website for wiring.

The biggest reason for clutch switch is safety. They don't want you to start it in gear & launch ahead. They do check this in tech at the strip occasionally.
