Holy mother of.... Up to 638 hp in a 2100 lb. car?? And given the balance that it probably has...

Wonder how much they'd give me for my trade-in...

I had a Series 1 Lotus Esprit (weighing just a tad more than this car) with a period Lotus Prepared by Claudius Buick/Rover 215 transplant... even with only 220hp or so it was an excellent performer.

The (stock Citroen) transaxle was at the torque limit or I would have considered dropping an LSx into it... and changing transaxles would have required some significant engineering (it had inboard disc brakes, etc) not to mention purchase of a suitable replacement.

Given the historic nature of the car (only 15 made) I decided to leave it alone... and sell it to move on to something a bit quicker...

Apparently it's a fake as the pics were taken at the Lotus factory a few years ago.
