Default Stand alone wiring question

I'm about ready to start building my 2002 5.3 truck harness into a stand alone harness. I have done a lot of reading in the stickys but i still have a couple questions ref the check engine light. Can i use a regular bulb type light or does it have to be a led? C2-46 is the PCM pin number but where do i connect the other side of the check engine light. Thanks

Regular bulb or an appropriately rated LED will be fine, power to the other side. The ECM controls ground for the bulb

It should be wired through a 194 type bulb or equivalent LED. I have had issues with MIL codes being thrown using a different style bulb.

Got the wiring harness almost done. One thing i'm not sure about is that i dont know if i should remove wire C1-70 blue connector, oil level switch. If i remove it will the pcm be looking for that signal.

You don't need it, but why remove it when it's already there? The wire shouldn't need to be modified, it runs fron the oil level sensor to the PCM.
