External measurements and weight Hello anyone with help.
I need general specs for the outside dimensions of the LS1 engine, bellhousing and six speed trans.
Can anyone tell me where this info could be found?
I want the width(width of cyl. heads @ exhaust ports), length(front most pulley to back of cyl. head), and height(btm of oil pan to top of intake) of the engine
I also need the diameter of the bellhousing and how far the bhousing is above the bottom of the oil pan.
I am researching a project of putting an LS1/six speed in my new Saturn ION, and converting to RWD.

Re: External measurements and weight You should try the hybrid section...... I remember a thread on that lately. I think you will get your answer over there. If length is a factor.... You may want to consider a Y- body crank pulley. They are 3/4" shorter than the F body ones.
