5.3 Question I'm new to LSTech and Ive done some searching for my idea and haven't found much, so go easy on me. I have a 2003 Trailblazer ext. I'd love to have a Trailblazer SS. I have spent some money on my TB and I have toyed with the idea of turning it into SS ext.People over on trailvoy.com say it would be cheaper just sell it and buy a SS and yes I have to agree it probably would be smarter.But then I saw some info on here about the 5.3 V8 and how cheap they are. So over on Ebay I saw a 5.3 that came out of a TB with everything still on it for 1600.00 . So how hard would it be to change out my I6 for the V8. the 5.3 with headers and a cam swap would put me close to 400hp right. The EXT version of the TB has the same rear end as the SS but don't know about the transmission.The main thing that worry's me is the electronics but he PCM is mounted right on the motor right? I have some experience with small block Chevys but Ive never messed with a LS motor. Thanks in advance for any advise!
