gto pan?
gto pan? I just picked up a 69 firebird and decided to go ahead with a 4.8 engine for it. The 4.8 has a gto oil pan with it and I would like to use the hooker plates / headers. Has anyone done a ls2 swap into a first gen? And if so was there a fitment issue with the stock gto pan?
GTO pan wont work. I have one sitting in my dining room for a friends swap. The fbody pan wont fit without modificaiton. It's best to just go with an after market pan like the moroso or autokraft or ATS ban but theyll run you from 200 and up with the filter and pick up setups.
Heres a pic of a modified stock fbody pan, and a pic of my moroso pan in my 68. It'll give you an idea why the gto pan wont work. You can sell the GTO pan and pick up for about $200 though.
