LQ4/4L60E into 72 Monte
I think I have worn the search button out as I have been lurking for a while now. I have decided that this is the way to go to make my car a nice cruiser. My intensions are to put the motor in stock and get it running and then maybe next winter do a few upgrades. I now I could probably do this a bit cheaper by piecing things out, but I am thinking about buying a complete drivetrain combo from Hilton Motorsports. Bob seems like a straight shooter and is very willing to help out with any of my questions.
So this is the direction I think I am going to go:
Low km stock LQ4
4L60E rebuilt with shift kit and 2300 converter
It will come with the PCM and harness adjusted for my needs.
truck accessories
Does anybody know if the truck accessories will be a problem in a Monte? I see some of the A-body swaps have had problems, but I have like 2 inches in front of my current SBC P/S pump pulley and the steering box.
Any suggestion are really appreciated, thanks.
Archie

what i can tell you, is that the truck engine setup is shorter than the f body setup. we use the truck setup in hot rods with smaller engine bay etc. just finished with a 6L truck engine in a 66 impala.
