Default Difference in accessory depth?

I have searched here and thirdgen.org to find this. I thought it would have been a sticky. but I cant find it. Anyone have this information. I need to know how far from the block the accessories are for the different setups(f-body, y-body, truck. Thanks in advanced for all your help. Mostly need to know about f-body and y-body.

I'm pretty sure (all my LS books are loaned out right now) that if you consider the 'Vette to be 0.00", the FBody stuff is + 0.75" over the 'Vette and the truck stuff is 1.50" over the 'Vette. I have a completed 'Vette motor on my engine stand right now, but wouldn't know what to measure from...

If that .75" is accurate that is all I needed. Thanks a bunch man!

Can someone verify this for me?

I modified an F body alt bracket to work with the vette crank pulley and had 0.75 inch taken off to make it work.

Can anyone throw an LS7 into the mix and comment on how that offset compares to those 3?

So the fact that the LS7 has a longer crank/snout than all the other LSx dosn't play into it? Does that mean the LS7 balancer is constructed to make the LS7 one line-up with the other LS2/3 compatible vette accessories?

I'm pretty sure the LS-7 balancer offset is std. IIRC, the crank snout is 1" longer, but the balancer lines up in the same place because of the dry sump arrangement.

Yep, the LS7 balancer is made to line up with the std Vette stuff. It's also important to note that the CTSv accesories, first gen at least line up with the Vette parts. Also, a G8 uses the same balancer as a Vette, so it would appear that they are at that depth, too.

For our LS7 Camaro, we had to get ATI to custom build us a balancer that would bring the belts to F-body/GTO depth.

That 0.75" sounds accurate to me, because back in the day on a friend's project we used a hybrid of truck and F-boy accessories, and we spacered the F-body stuff out a little over 5/8". We using tape measures and basically guessing, and I know they ended up just a hair too far back.
