Default Problems

So I was having some issues related to running on less than 8 cylinders upon first startup...So i did a comp check and one of my cylinders came up as 0psi.... NOT good... I was blowing radiator hoses off and my new oil looked like it had been in the motor for 4k miles... Needless to say everythign is pointing towards a blown headgasket. Goes to show you about Ebay engines! BTW, i'm doing a 1990 300ZX--> LS1 conversion. So if anyone knows where i could get inexpensive head gasket and bolt/stud kits...let me know!!!

Most of our sponsors on the right carry LS1 gaskets and bolts.

www.MotorsportTech.com
www.ThunderRacing.com
www.MorePerformanceInc.com
www.SDPC2000.com

Thats only a few of them.

Bummer, about half the stuff I get on ebay is crap. Luckly most sellers will do the right thing and send a good part.

Looks like a valve seat somehow came loose. The intake valve on the #7 Cylinder wedged the valve open and started hitting the piston. It scored the piston a couple times about maybe 2mm deep if that. But at least i know what it is now...
