LT1-LS1 tranny brace My conversion will be finished up this weekend, I'll make a thread with some pics once its finished.
Anyways, Transmission crossmember from a 2002 manual Z28 doesn't bolt up to 1994 auto Z28 vert...just thought I'd let yall know
The extra bracket with the bolt holes is not on the car body-I don't know if its because its a convertible or older bodystyle.
Will a 93-97 manual transmission crossbrace with the 02 T56 tranny mount bolt right up? Or do I have to fab up something or buy a custom crossmember?

Use the stock LT1 T56 Crossmember. Where the Mount bolts to on the Transmission is the same for all of them..LT1 & LS1 are identical.
Here is a question for you though.. are you using a LS1 K-Member and LS Engine Mounts, or any type of LSX Conversion Mounts?

hmmm, well I bolted up the LS1 still sitting on its k member and clamshell mounts out of my wrecked 2002 and everything lined up fine for the LS1 kmem. But tranny mount needs a bracket that isnt there on this car. I'll get a pic up after class to show what I'm talking about..

94 LT1 convertible automatic body...doesn't have bracket.
After looking at it more, I'm just going to drill the spot welds out and cut the bracket off the 02 and bolt/weld it on the 94...just threw me for a loop and halted progress because I read on here that any 93-02 t56 crossmember should bolt up no problem. Just a fyi to look out for in your LT1/4l60e to LS1/T56 conversions.
