2003 1500 ls6 swap

i have a 2003 chevy pickup with the 5.3. i also have a 2004 ls6 long block that i would like to swap in. my question is will everything just bolt in and hook up to my harness. what if any mods need to be done. computer??
would this be a good swap, dont know if i can run my intake and injectors, coils or if i have to swap over everything to a ls6.
just dont know if its worth the time if the power gain arent great.

The LS6 Motor is a direct fit. If you want to use the truck manifolds that is.
