2001 ECM on 2000 LS1
2001 ECM on 2000 LS1 I have a 2000 LS1 in my camaro right now. Everything works great. Passed Smog ref inspection cause i live in CA. Question is, i want to put a LS6 intake on and get rid of my EGR. I was thinking of putting in a 2001 LS1 ECM and going back to the REF and getting my car inspected again so on paper i would have an 2001 LS1 but really have a 2000 LS1 with a 01 ECM. Is this possible?? And remember i live in cali. I dont feel like paying $500 for a modify LS6 intake. I know i can delete the EGR but i will fail the visual smog check part

On other option is that you can buy one of those LS6 EGR adapter and put it on with the egr for inspection, and then remove it after and plug it, disable it and re-enable it as needed in the PCM.
good point, but i cant find those adapter. plus later down the road im going to do Head/Cam swap and want to use the FAST intake. I could paint the FAST intake to make it look like the LS6 intake. Good idea though.
