difficulty of ls1 to a 93-97 body (v6)?

?

i also have a question regarding the 6 speed foun on say a 97 ss and 99trans am..

same t-56? intercheangable?

does one need to be a wiring guru for this type of swap, or how much would a shop charge given tranny/engine/computer?

Dont need to be a wiring expert but some wiring is needed. The 97 t56 will not work with 98-02 ls1. You may be able to switch parts to make it work but im not certian which. Try finding the LS1TECH member "Magnus". Here is his website. http://www.dxsoftware.com/magnus/ . I was quoted $1200 for the swap. I did it my self. You are going to need little parts that the person you buy the motor from will forget to send you. So if you take it somewhere it will seem like and endless list making your price go up and up. Do it your self, you will learn alot and save alot. I finished my in 7 weeks only working on Saturdays, plus waiting for parts.

don't know that i'd have the space to do this..

i'd imagine if u could do it over u would have forked over the cash for the ls1 in the first place huh?

I live by Magnus, and we are buddies, he really knows what he is doing and he's a former V6 guru to boot.

LT1 T56 has a different bellhousing, not sure if the input shafts are the same length or spline count, you need to check that out.

clutch setup is also different, you need to swap bellhousings, input shafts, and a few other major parts to make the LT1 T56 work on a LS1.

best is to find a LS1 t56 to use, and sell the LT1.

Since this is the same swap I will be doing - I'm gonna bring this back TTT.

Just regarding the main topic -
Anyone have some good info of putting LS1 into a 93-97 V6 F-Body?
I know Magnus has done this - and I plan on getting in touch with him when I get a little more prepared - but that's what I am trying to do now...get a little more prepared.
