modify the stock 99 harness

modify the stock 99 harness i will be using the camaro gauges in the mustang and my question is can all of the extra wires be deleted or can you just delete the wires from connectors 100 101 105 220 230?????????
i read on here that those connectors are all you mess with then just hook it up
so does that mean leave all of the extra factory wires just laying there or what are you guys doing ive been reading on here for like 2 weeks and i cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere
anytime somebody asks someone else just says its easy just get in there and do it which tells nothing
so please somebody respond
