Picking a cam for carb setup
I have a 98 TA with a stock long block LS1, Victor Jr, 825 mighty demon, rmvb th350. I have two different converters (3500 or 4800) and haven't decided which to go with. Anyway, this is a 100% racecar with ZERO street use. Everything that is not needed on this car has been removed so it is about as light as you can get one without cutting anything off the car.
What would be a good cam for this setup if I leave it NA and what would be a good cam for a small nitrous setup.
i had really good luck with a jetted down holley 750 hp street carb. it seems to like the 70/80 jet combo, 5.5 power valve, and 30cc pump.
The main reason for going with the carb setup is because we bought the car with no engine harness or anything so I thought it would be easier to get it going.
im running a victor jr intake, texas speed cnc stage 1 ls6 heads, ms3 with a 113las, and a hp street holley.
timing is set at 15* from 0-1000 rpm then its a steady ramp up to 29* at 3000 rpm.
it friggin screams man. It also helped i did some tuning with my fast dual sensor wide band.
