E40 ECM Cruise Wiring
Standard 4 wire (gray, blue, green, pink/black) cruise switch. I know this should be pretty easy but has anyone done the legwork on this and maybe have a wiring diagram to which C1 wires these should tie to?
I'm also assuming that the 12v that comes from the cruise portion of brake switch is what the pink/black wire is connected to...any reason the ecm would have a problem with 12v in this circuit or is it a regulated (lower) power in the OEM installation??
X1-27 = Crusie control set/coast switch signal
X1-33 = Cruise control resume/accel switch signal
X1-46 = TCC brake switch/cruise control release signal (This circuit is normally closed and opens when brakes are applied)
The wire colors on your switch are different than the TBSS. The switch still works the same though. Just get a DVOM and do continuity tests between the four wires while pushing each switch to determine which wires do what. Here is a schematic for an 08 TBSS. It uses an E67 ECM so do not pay attention to the pin numbers in the schematic. Substitute in the ones I posted above.
