Default DBW - no throttle at all after install....

I am installing a DBW system...and just got it all wired up for the first time.

Engine will idle - but there is nothing happening in the throttle body except the whine and click when it first gets powered up. The TPS is showing 17.3 and when I unplug it the TPS is showing 100.

Using per Painless instructions PCM 12200411 programmed with a VIN for the correct style vehicle.

I'm using the correct throttle pedal and TAC module required per the instructions ( a 2002 Chevy 1500 6.0 truck pedal, & TAC module.)

All parts are new except the throttle body.

Any clues where to start?????

***EDIT - I just did a search under some different wording and found a schematic for the TAC/Pedal - MINE IS CORRECT.....

Dang....

SO...now what???

Default Solved....

Ended up flipping the blk/white (1704) and Lt blu/blk (1688) at the throttle body. This put the output signals on the TPS the right way (sig 1 goes higher and sig 2 goes lower as the throttle opens). Both my sig 1 & 2 were going higher when you opened the throttle.

So....I'm running a 2002 TAC module, and a 2003 - up t/b.

It can be done....

I'm having problems with mine too. I am missing a 5v signal on pin D of the TAC module, the tan wire.

Both APP sensor 1 and sensor 2 go UP in voltage when the pedal is pushed. But I also have a couple other weird things going on:

Connector at the TACM that goes to the pedal, at idle:

Pin B: Ref Low, Purple - Stays at 5v regardless of what position the pedal is in.
Pin C: APP Sensor 2, Lt. Blue - Voltage goes up as pedal is pressed.
Pin D: 5v, Tan - SHOULD have 5v, but shown no voltage on my DVOM.
Pin F: APP Sensor 1, Dk. Blue - Voltage goes up as pedal is pressed.
Pin G: 5v, White/Black - I do have 5v here.
Pin J: Ref Low, Brown- Stays at .002v regardless of what position the pedal is in.

What do the "Low Ref" circuits do? Next to thinking that the TAC module is bad since it is missing the 5v signal to that one pin, I'm stumped. I did try to swap that to wires that you did, and it just idled like crap!

Unfortunately, my code scanner isn't here yet, but I definitely have codes, and the SES light is on.

Everything is from an 06 Silverado, 5.3L.

Code are:

P1125 - Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) System
P2120 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch ”D” Circuit
P2125 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch ”E” Circuit

Guess it's looking like the sensor on the pedal? The harness between the TACM and the pedal checked out OK. Replaced the TACM itself, nothing. I have power on the pink wire to the TACM, and a good ground.

And again, everything is from a 2006 truck.

Thanks!
