It should handle it just fine.
Mike Wood's NX Mustang is also out of the same shop this car is being built in. It won the diesel class at Drag Week. If he would have entered in Small Block Power Adder which he could have. He would have placed second. Mike ran a best pass 9.717 @ 147.88 on an easy launch. We where messing with the tune up all week. It is really coming around.
The Z28 has all the potental Mike's Mustang does. Just takes time to get it all sorted out. The Z28 has a good deal more electronics to mess with and learn. The controls for the VGT turbos and the PCS trans controler to name a few things. The Mustang has non of these so the learning curve will be steeper but what we learn with the Mustang should help with the Z28.

Thank god, I don't know too much about diesels and that was the only reference on a quick google search I could find. So I am guessing the 6600's are the truck engines, and 7800's mentioned would be like.. fu.. a dump truck or something? Or a big ol kenworth loll.
Diesel cars rock, nothing like making two different types of smoke at the same time.
Hmm, how many gears would you go through going down the line with that much HP? Shift points would be what, 3000 or so?

i know the 01 dmax weighed ~900lb at so-cal diesel ... dont know if it was dry or not.. it was darn near fully dressed
as for tranny bolt up.. dmax come with GM standard bell housing bolt pattern.
then flexpat would need to be re-drilled for diff bolt pattern.
