5.3L engine conversion questions What's up all?
Looking to swap to a 5.3L engine from the 350 TBI that's in my truck now...
I've got a 91 Chevy K1500 4x4 350TBI with factory 5speed trans.
i want to keep the 5speed trans and 4wd, but don't know how the engine would mate up to the 5speed.
Any ideas? I've sent a few emails to a couple transmission specialty companies but have heard nothing back from anyone...
I need to get this thing up and running before it snows...but can't find any info...

Cool - that's very nearly the same thing that I'll (probably) be doing as my next swap! (Except that my truck is a '92 4x4 with an auto trans.) It looks like I already have a line on a seriously inexpensive LQ4... 
I'm fairly sure you'll need an adapter plate to make the engine work with the older transmission, but I've just started to research this swap, so others will be able to give you better/more-specific info.
