Default corvette gauges

okay so i put a ls1 into a blazer. So im wondering can i just use the corvette gauge cluster to make things simple. Im using a stock harness and a computer (computer is from a fbody). Ive read that it cant be done (putting corvette gauges on a fbody setup). If it cant be done cant i just swap to a corvette computer. Are the harnesses different for corvette and fbody and if they are can't u just repin a few wires?
I mean cmon it can't be done are some strong words. Plus if u can just swap the comp and repin a few wires why doesn't every fbody guy just do that istead of paying granatelli 400 bucks to have the gauge face changed and reprogramed for the corvette gauge setup.

Corvette computer is going to be for a drive by wire engine, so it won't work on a cable driven throttle body setup. Not as simple as just repinning some wires.

It can be physically fit:

This is the only one that I'm aware of.
I'd venture to say that he had to install it and remove it many times to get it trimmed to fit.
